TONY ZARRELLA

Senior Project Manager

Born and raised in New Jersey, Tony was always inspired by drawing & music at an early age. A High School drafting course started his interest in the ARTS. I set up a drafting table from a hollow core door my father was throwing out in my bedroom.  I refinished it, got my T-Square and Triangles, and began sketching before computers and AutoCAD existed. Watching the Beatle’s first US performance on the Ed Sullivan Show set his future musical drumming path saying “I’m In”.  This combination created many interesting life opportunities on diverse project types through the years.

Tony studied Engineering at the University of Tampa and Architecture at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL.  His work with architectural firms has covered diverse project types in design/build management from concept development through construction completion.  His work combined architecture, engineering, and construction delivery, specializing in theme development for master-planned residential communities, custom homes, resort projects, hospitality and amenities, retail environments, corporate office facilities, manufacturing and warehousing, communications and pharmaceutical facilities.

As Director of Projects with PS&S Architecture, Engineering & Constructors (a Key-Span Energy Company located in Warren, NJ), the NBC~MSNBC studio communications facility master plan, located in Secaucus, NJ was one of the most interesting projects.  Tony worked as a Senior Project Manager with Foster-Wheeler USA International on specialty projects located & traveling to Butte, Montana & Lisbon, Portugal, and as a Project Manager working with AT&T located in Basking Ridge, NJ within their Facilities Engineering, Design, and Construction Division.

As a founding member and drummer of the rock band WICKED LESTER (later known as KISS) Tony met Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Brooke Ostrander who recorded their first LP album with Epic Records at Electric Lady Studios located in Greenwich Village, New York City.  Electric Lady Studio was designed and built by legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix and is currently the only professional NYC studio in full operation today, recording artists on today’s current music scene.  Tony has also recorded and toured with other NYC-based rock bands, DREAMS IN COLOR & MYTH.
